What is Indiana's Online Assessment Tool?
Indiana's Online Assessment Tool is a Web-based application that tests students over 4th and 8th grade mathematics. The test questions were developed by the National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP) and are based on national academic standards. Teachers have flexible options in constructing tests for their students. Click here to create a Practice Test. Please note that the Practice Test is for demonstration purposes only, and the results will not be saved.
What is NAEP?
The National Assessment of Educational Progress is an information resource, providing profiles of what students know and how they perform in key subject areas. It also assists in monitoring trends in students' achievement at the elementary, middle, and high school levels.
How can this assessment tool help students?
Since the test questions are based on national academic standards, teachers are able to use this online tool as an aid in assessing student skill levels. Teachers may then continue to use this tool for review, remediation, and preparation for standardized testing.
How do I sign up?
Teachers who are interested should click on "Create a New Account" and complete the online registration form. After completing the registration you will receive a username and password, and will be able to begin setting up your class.
